Joseph Tay is the Director of Commercial Disputes in Bayfront Law LLC.

Joseph represents and advises clients on a wide range of commercial matters, including M&A disputes, restructuring and insolvency claims and proceedings, interlocutory and freezing order injunctions, IPO investment and RTO disputes, commercial real estate disputes, infrastructure and construction disputes, shareholder and director disputes, commodities and trade disputes, non-compete restrictions and executive-level employment disputes, as well as financial services and securities matters. Joseph’s practice also includes advising corporations on internal fraud, corruption and compliance inquiries and investigations.
Joseph is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and he serves on the panel of the arbitrators for the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. Joseph additionally serves as a Neutral Evaluator under the Law Society’s Neutral Evaluation and Determination Scheme in partnership with the Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre, as well as an Adjudicator for the determination of claims lodged under the Building and Construction Security of Payment Act 2004. Joseph is concurrently a member of the Inquiry Panel of the Law Society of Singapore.
Prior to Bayfront Law LLC, Joseph practiced as an Equity Partner in Shook Lin & Bok LLP (2015 – 2025) and as a disputes specialist in Allen & Gledhill LLP (2008 – 2015).
